With Preservé™

... women today have access to breast augmentation that uniquely combines aesthetics and tissue preservation. This innovative Motiva technique is designed to shape your breast while preserving its natural tissue long-term. Instead of an invasive procedure, the Preservé™ method relies on gentle, tissue-sparing techniques that protect the pectoral muscle, minimize scars, and allow for faster healing – for naturally beautiful, long-lasting results.

What is Preservé™?

What is Preservé™?

Preservé™ is a minimally invasive breast augmentation procedure based on the principle of breast tissue preservation. In the Preservé™ procedure, breast tissue is not cut, but rather gently and controllably stretched. This creates space for the breast implant without destroying the natural structure of the breast.

The implant is placed in the subglandular implant pocket – between the mammary gland and the pectoral muscle. The pectoral muscle remains completely intact, which reduces postoperative pain, preserves breast sensitivity, and significantly shortens recovery time. Patients can return to their daily lives significantly faster after a Preservé™ procedure than after conventional breast augmentation.

The Preservé™ method takes a philosophically different approach: natural breast tissue is not seen as an obstacle, but as an active resource that is incorporated into the shaping of the breast. Thus, Preservé™ represents a real alternative to conventional breast augmentation – for women who value the naturalness and long-term health of their breasts.

Overview of the method's advantages

Compared to conventional breast augmentations, the Preservé™ method offers a range of compelling advantages:

  • Tissue-preserving: The breast tissue is not cut, but gently stretched and preserved in its natural form.
  • Smaller scars: Thanks to the minimally invasive incision and a special insertion sleeve, significantly smaller scars are created than with conventional breast augmentations.
  • Shorter healing time: The tissue-preserving technique allows for faster recovery – many patients return to their daily lives after just a few days.
  • Preservation of sensitivity: The precise procedure protects the neurovascular network of the breast, minimizing changes in sensitivity.
  • Can be performed outpatient: Preservé™ is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia or light sedation – general anesthesia is often not required.
  • High stability: Clinical data show a 0% implant malposition rate after three years – compelling evidence for the longevity of the Preservé™ technique.
Who is the Preservé™ breast augmentation suitable for?

Who is the Preservé™ breast augmentation suitable for?

The Preservé™ method is suitable for almost all women considering breast augmentation. The procedure is used for:

  • Primary breast augmentation
  • Breast augmentation with simultaneous breast lift (mastopexy-augmentation)
  • Hybrid breast augmentation in combination with autologous fat (lipofilling)

Ideal candidates are in a stable physical condition, with no planned pregnancy in the near future, and have sufficient breast tissue for subglandular implant placement. Patients with little natural tissue benefit from the combination with lipofilling as an optimal solution. Preservé™ also offers flexible options for breast asymmetries: different implant sizes or supplementary lipofilling enable balanced, natural results.

Patients with significant weight fluctuations, a history of extensive breast surgeries, or very weak connective tissue require individual surgical planning.

Preservé™ Treatment Procedure

  1. Consultation and Implant Planning

In a detailed consultation, your wishes, the optimal implant size, and the appropriate volume will be determined based on your individual breast anatomy. A 3D simulator supports the realistic visualization of the result.

  2. Small Incision

Through a minimally invasive incision – typically in the inframammary fold – a special channel separator is introduced, which gently prepares the breast tissue without touching the pectoral muscle.

  3. Tissue Expansion with the Motiva® Inflatable Balloon

A balloon is gradually inflated to controllably stretch the breast tissue and create the optimal space for the implant. The duration of this step adapts to the individual tissue characteristics.

  4. Implant Insertion via Insertion Sleeve

The Motiva SmoothSilk® Ergonomix2® implant is inserted into the implant pocket via a precise insertion sleeve and optimally positioned.

  5. Completion and Discharge

After the procedure, you will be carefully monitored. In most cases, patients can be discharged on the same day. Clear postoperative recommendations will guide you through the healing period.

The Motiva Implant Technology behind Preservé™

The Preservé™ method relies on Motiva's most advanced breast implants, specifically developed for the tissue-preserving procedure:

  • SmoothSilk® Ergonomix2®: Ultra-smooth 4-micron surface that minimizes inflammation, adapts to natural breast movement, and has no known primary cases of BIA-ALCL.
  • ProgressiveGel Ultima®: Highly cohesive silicone gel with unique rheological properties – for movement behavior mimicking the breast.
  • TrueMonobloc+®: Connects shell, patch, and gel into a durable unitary structure for maximum stability.
  • BlueSeal+®: A visual barrier that confirms the integrity of the implant from the outside.
  • Zen® RFID Chip: Enables fast, non-invasive implant verification – compatible with all imaging procedures including MRI.

The result of this combination is a natural-looking, long-lasting breast augmentation with a volume that optimally suits the individual figure.

Frequently Asked Questions about Preservé™ Breast Augmentation

Preservé™ can be performed under local anesthesia, light sedation, or general anesthesia. Thanks to the minimally invasive method, general anesthesia is often not required. Your surgeon and the anesthesia team will discuss the optimal form of anesthesia with you.

Preservé™ can be performed with Motiva implants in Mini, Demi, and Full projection levels with a volume of 95 cc to 330 cc. Thanks to the so-called "tenting effect," the breast volume appears approximately 25% larger after Preservé™ treatment than the pure implant volume.

The healing time with Preservé™ is shorter than with conventional breast augmentations. Many patients return to their daily lives after just a few days. Postoperatively, slight swelling may occur, which quickly subsides. Wearing a support bra is recommended for a defined period.

Yes – Preservé™ is a tissue-preserving alternative to conventional breast augmentation. The procedure achieves comparable aesthetic results with a significantly smaller intervention and faster recovery.
