"Sagging neck, blurred jawline, deep nasolabial fold – that bothers most people" - Dr. Volker Rippmann

As a renowned specialist in plastic surgery and head of the Metropolitan Clinic, Dr. Rippmann is one of the leading figures in this field, known for his expertise and commitment to innovative beauty treatments.

In this exclusive interview, Dr. Rippmann explained in detail the benefits of the Deep Plane Facelift, a revolutionary facial rejuvenation method that he introduced in Germany. He emphasized the profound improvements this technique offers compared to conventional procedures:

"Five years ago, I might have done one facelift a month; today, it's three a week."

"Previously, we essentially just tried to somehow bring the sagging and fallen facial skin back into the correct position. With the previous procedure, it often looked strange. The wrinkles were gone, but the face didn't really look rejuvenated – like, for example, with Mickey Rourke. It annoyed me that a facelift was usually recognizable in the end, even though we Europeans operated relatively conservatively compared to Americans. By releasing the adhesions or ligaments, I can mobilize everything upwards again and bring it back into its old position. Whether or not there is an overcorrection depends on the plastic surgeon. Previously, when only the skin was tightened, one even had to overcorrect because the skin always gave way relatively quickly – after a few months, it usually looked okay again. But that's not the case with the new method; you do it right away as it should ultimately look. The operation requires comprehensive anatomical knowledge, as it is performed at the deep level of the musculature, where nerves and vessels run. Thorough planning and execution of the procedure are therefore essential to avoid possible complications."
